Cape Rhino Shuttle & Tours is a Cape Town tour and transfer company founded in 2001 by Waleed Osman, who had already spent years working the Cape's tourism circuit before starting the business. What began as a small transfer operation has grown into a full shuttle, touring and charter company — still run on the same idea: know the roads, show up on time, and treat every guest, whether local or arriving from overseas, like they're the only booking that day.
Waleed Osman
Waleed has worked in Cape tourism since 2001, the same year he founded Cape Rhino Shuttle & Tours. Alongside running the company, he has managed concierge services for some of the Cape's best-known addresses — Stellenbosch Tourism, Steenberg Hotel and Spier in the past, and currently Erinvale — relationships that shaped how Cape Rhino treats every guest, hotel or independent traveller.
Eteya Award — provincial winner
Cape Rhino was nominated for Best Upcoming Touring Company and named the provincial winner of the Eteya Award in 2006, judged against tour operators across all nine provinces of South Africa.
Family-run
Passed on, not sold off.
In 2019, Waleed handed ownership of Cape Rhino Shuttle & Tours to his daughter, who now runs the business day to day. Waleed remains closely involved in operations — the same eye for the road and the same standards, carried into the next generation of this Cape Town tour company.
